Tulsa Chorale will begin its 33rd season of performances with “Music for Royalty,” September 28 at First Baptist Church Tulsa, 420 S Detroit Ave in downtown Tulsa. The concert begins at 7:30 pm and will feature the 100-member chorale alongside local soloists and members of the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra performing Coronation Anthems by Handel (Zadok the Priest, The King Shall Rejoice), and the Mozart Coronation Mass.
“As the title suggests, our first concert features choral classics that became prominently featured at historical coronations past and present,” says Dr. Zachary Malavolti, Artistic Director. “This concert features thrilling music with powerful choral declamations and regal orchestral flourishes.”
Tickets are 25 dollars for adults, 20 dollars for seniors and 10 dollars for students, and may be purchased online or at the door.
