Nothing raises a big smile like bluegrass music and you will smile through the evening when you join TOC on Thursday, July 26, 2012, for a very special event.  For your tax-deductible contribution of $100, you can have a seat at the table as the TOC Chamber Chorus will perform a private concert of an exciting new work written by our own Artistic Director, Dr. Tim Sharp.  In his new composition, Come Away to the Skies: a High Lonesome Mass, Tim took traditional hymns in the Sacred Harp tradition and put them in the framework of the traditional Latin mass.  The work incorporates banjo, mandolin, guitar, violin and double-bass, and the 25 voices of the TOC Chamber Chorus, performing in the round.  In addition to the musical feast, you will be treated to fine barbeque catered by Dickey’s Barbeque.

This special performance will occur at the Great Hall in the Bernsen Community Center, 700 S. Boston Ave., across the street from First Presbyterian Church in downtown Tulsa.  Arrive at 6:30 p.m. for conversation with friends and complimentary wine.  Dinner is served at 7:00 p.m. with music following.

Reservations are required.  For each seat you would like to reserve, send your check for $100 to the TOC Office, 111 East First Street, Suite 1, Tulsa, Oklahoma  74103-2817.  Note that your contribution is for the “Bluegrass fundraiser.”  Deadline for reservations is July 19, 2012.
